2018-19 Court Kings Basketball General Information
Most releases this late in the season are typically in the mid to high end of the spectrum. But due to a revised released calendar Panini America has opted to unleash 2018-19 Court Kings Basketball to the masses at the end of the regular season. That in no way should take away from the popularity of this release, and with only two weeks between it and 2018-19 National Treasures Basketball, a slightly more affordable product is undoubtedly welcomed by collectors.
The vibrant colors, artistic design, and abstract imagery are all features that make 2018-19 Court Kings Basketball unique and highly sought after. The array of on-card rookie autographs from the Fresh Paint and Heir Apparent sets will showcase the players in their team uniforms for the first time since the 2015-16 release. The veteran autos are a plenty and featured on the Studio Signatures, Brush Strokes, Sovereign, Impressionist Ink, Court Kings, Legacies (including the 1/1 Masterpiece variation) and High Court sets, meaning that the rookie autos will probably be a rare hit in comparison. There are no jersey/patch autographs in this years release which is disappointing but not a deal breaker for a product at this price point.
Outside of the autographs are numerous inserts and parallels with the favorite case hit Aurora set returning yet again. Alongside this are the four levels of rookie cards ranging from the common Level I up to the almost case hit Level IV. Other notable inserts include Portraits, Le Cinque Pui Belle, Gallery of Stars, Emerging Artists, Points in the Paint and more.
With the strong 2018 rookie class including Luka Doncic, Trae Young, DeAndre Ayton, Marvin Bagley, Jaren Jackson Jr or Kevin Knox, 2018-19 Court Kings Basketball is more than capable of holding its own this late in the year.
